Nigerian midfielder "Mikel Obi" scores first goal for Tianjin TEDA

Nigerian midfielder John Mikel Obi netted his first goal for Tianjin Teda as they recorded their first win in the 2017 Chinese Super League (CSL) season.

Mikel scored the first goal as Tianjin TEDA beat Chongqing Lifan 2-0 on Sunday, April 2.

The Nigerian midfielder netted in the 48th minute of the game before Milovin scored an own goal to seal the win for Tianjin TEDA.
The Jaime Pacheco’s side are ninth on the league table with four points from three games.
Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye was in action for 65 minutes in the game before he was replaced by Dong Wang.

Ideye is yet to score for Tianjin TEDA.
Meanwhile, in China, another Nigerian Odion Ighalo was on the losing side as Changchun Yatai were beaten 2-0 by Shandong Luneng on Sunday.
Ighalo who was captain of his side lead the line for Changchun as they slipped to the bottom of the table with the defeat.
